To discover more about the history of alpacas in South America Synthesis of a Miracle is an excellent book. We hope you find the following camelid book list useful.
Llamas and Alpacas – A guide to management is written by Gina Bromage, a UK veterinary surgeon, whose family farm alpacas. This book is one of a few written specifically for farming alpacas and llamas in the UK. It contains plenty of useful information and excellent images.
The Camelid Companion is a great book for those interested in learning more about camelid behaviour and how to train them using respectful methods. There are useful sections on husbandry with the emphasis on good handling techniques and using catch pens to good effect.
