Agistment is the term the alpaca industry gives to 'board and lodgings' or livery.

REASONS

Sociability - Alpacas live in herds and it may be that you wish to buy only one, so she will need to be kept with other alpacas.  Agistment offers a simple solution to this need.

Time and Space - You may not be able to devote either the time or the space to your animals and your investment, so you will need a reliable, professional service to do this for you.

Breeding - Breeding from your females.  We include 8 weeks free agistment with our stud male services.

Weaning - Young stock can be safely weaned with other animals of his/her own age and sex.

Going on holiday - Everyone needs a break, and agistment means your animals are always cared for.

Moving house - Agistment offers peace of mind and the opportunity to move without worrying about the welfare of your animals.

Winter grazing - a breeder with extensive land and facilities can look after animals that live on more marginal land at leaner times of the year.

Shearing - Agistment means that you can drop off and collect animals at your convenience.

WHAT WE OFFER

We provide a comprehensive agistment service.  We look after all agisted animals as if they are our own.  Care includes unlimited grazing on established, extensive pastures, ad lib hay all year round, Camelibra daily mineral supplement, Fibregest and Alfalfa supplementary feeds, natural and barn shelter, on site supervision by us and all routine care. We are also licensed by DEFRA to transport alpacas. A collection and delivery service is available.
