Alpaca Shows are an important part of an alpaca breeder's diary. Organised and run by BAS members, shows are held at various venues around the country and are becoming increasing popular as alpaca numbers increase. Year on year, the standard of alpacas we are breeding increases and the competition becomes greater.
Shows are not just about winning rosettes, although proof that your breeding programme is achieving the correct standard is fantastic. Shows also provide an opportunity for people to meet and exchange news and ideas. We recommend that anyone new to alpacas visits a show or two to see some of the best animals in the country.

The Futurity Results for 2008

We took three black alpacas and all three were placed first in their class. They were judged by Mike Safley and Paul Cullen.
Chalford Petra went on to win Champion Black Female, her third Champion result from 4 shows.
These successes led to Alpaca Power being awarded the Futurity Small Breeder prize for 2008.
