We offer alpaca training courses and workshops throughout the year. Our workshops cater for the new through to the experienced alpaca owner. Training courses and workshops include Introduction to alpaca days, basic and advanced husbandry and fleece preparation for shows and mills. We also cater for specific training on a 1 to 1 basis. This is often advanced husbandry using alpacas who boost confidence if required. Helen, an experienced alpaca owner/breeder and Registered Veterinary Nurse, delivers alpaca workshops on a regular basis. We can help you to;
decide whether alpacas are for you
choose the right alpaca(s) for your requirements
learn how to look after your alpacas in a respectful and knowledgeable way
get the most from your fleeces
Alpaca training courses and workshops are designed to be friendly, practical, informative and fun. There are a maximum of 8 people per day as we feel this the best way to learn the most. We will provide you with course notes to take home and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions. We hold our workshops on a regular basis on both weekends and weekdays. We guarantee events will run even it is wet. We have extensive under cover facilities to keep you and the alpacas dry. All workshops include refreshments and lunch. Special diets can be catered for. Accommodation is available with us or locally if required. We hope you will enjoy looking around the farm and meeting our very friendly alpacas.
